Elite Iron announces their new Sound Suppressor Wrap.
Potomac, MT / January 6, 2010 - In today's world of elite military, law enforcement and
serious civilian marksmen, the sound suppressor is becoming an everyday tool. Simple in
looks on the outside, the inside of a suppressor is usually a complex design primarily
configured to reduce sound pressure levels by cooling down expanding hot propellant gases
from a muzzle blast. The extreme temperatures of those gases also make the suppressor very
hot to handle. And that is where the concept of a suppressor cover really comes into play.
While there have been several attempts to provide a better way to handle a hot suppressor, nothing
equals the new Elite Iron Suppressor Wrap. That's because the "Wrap" was not only designed
to handle heat, it also provides a way for the user to conceal the suppressor as well.
Elite Iron has announced their new and unique covers made for sound suppressors of nearly every
size and shape. The materials used for the proprietary "Wrap" are flame retardant. This not only
allows the operator to comfortably handle a hot suppressor, the "Wrap" eliminates the mirage
caused by heat rising from the suppressor. The Suppressor "Wrap" also provides a platform to
attach camouflage elements such as Gillie suit material, brush, branches, etc. The innovative
use of eyelets and drawstring lacing provide ample opportunity for attaching and arranging
material from the surrounding environment to provide optimum concealment.
Elite Iron is based in Potomac, Montana. And owners Kathy and Dale Poling feel they have a
unique product with an advantage for every day applications. At the SAR Show in Phoenix in
December, Kathy explained to those who saw the product for the first time. "Elite Iron Suppressor
Wraps come in almost every size. And although there is a Wrap to fit every Elite Iron
suppressor, our Suppressor Wraps can fit most every rifle sound suppressor available
today from .223 up to big 50 caliber rifles. In addition to being available in black, forest
green, and coyote, the lacing and eyelet design allows for adding environment foliage or
other materials to provide even better concealment for the shooter." Those interested are encouraged
to logon to the new Elite Iron web site at www.EliteIron.net to see pictures of the Suppressor Wraps
as well as the sizes, colors and prices.
